Bodywork Modalities
Bodywork is a broad term denoting a hands-on manipulation of the body’s systems to enhance there functioning, as well as, personal development techniques which enhance body awareness and confidence in one’s own ability in managing common soft-tissue impairments.
Our therapeutic bodywork encompasses both active (active release technique, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF stretching)) and passive (manual therapies, such as myofascial release, trigger-point therapy, structural integration) modalities aimed at optimizing soft-tissue health and performance, improved posture, as well as, for pain relief & management.
Repetitive strain syndromes and poor body biomechanics can be improved with a commitment to regular bodywork sessions and by integrating a movement practice that reverse engineers postural fault patterns.
Depending on the source of pain and the specific goals of the individual seeking treatment, the frequency of visits will vary.
